These grants award artists with unrestricted funds to support their work and careers and also provide funds for travel and accommodations for family members and loved ones to be with patients who are undergoing treatment for cancer. In 2008, the Foundation awarded 49 grants totalling $47,557 to cancer patients and eight $10,000 grants to visual artists. less
